The main goal of palliative care is quality of life, including relief from symptoms of physical and emotional illness and stress. Palliative care is appropriate for any child that has received a serious diagnosis or for whom the prognoses has become serious. The PPC team helps to coordinate your child’s care and can act as a liaison between you and the care team (and, really, everyone in your life who is involved with this illness journey).
