A bereaved mother speaks courageously about how she has sought and found support following the death of her son. There are things she did early on — “I was taking it hour by hour” — and challenges she gave herself to make sure Krabbe disease didn’t take even more from her, such as buying baby presents for friends. “I grant myself grace….
